We are extremely happy owners of two weeks in Red season at Sandcastles in Provincetown, MA. This week we were visited by a salesman from Outfield Marketing/Festiva who told us that his "client" was taking over the property. He tried very hard to get us to convert to points for about $3400, telling us that it would improve our exchanges (which we've never used and are only slightly interested in) and keep our maintenance fees and assessments from going sky-high when they start improving the property. He very nearly had us, until we told him we needed a couple of days to think over and he said "No, today is the day," implying that we had to sign on the spot or this great big favor they were offering us was going to go away. My wife almost punched him.
So now we're very skeptical. We've talked to another couple in the same position, and they said that they were given some very different information.
Reading the posts on here, it seems that Festiva is not the most trustworthy company to deal with. But it's hard to evaluate what they're telling us.
Anyone with experience/advice/input?
Thanks!!
