There are many reasons why people complain about timeshare ownership. Especially this time of year when the MF's are due. But I was just thinking today that ownership is truly great. We've been trying to decide for the past few weeks what we want to do this year for vacation. We had already rented our Surf Club week, so were thinking about the rest of our vacationing. There were a few things at the top of the list:
After discussing the list and having a pro's/con's conversation, we decided to just go to MFV for our week. If we were to do one of the things above, we would have either rented it or traded it.
Anyway, at first, we were kind of feeling like we were settling with the MFV decision. But now that I think about it, it feels great to have a MVC vacation be our last resort option.
Thought I'd offer this up, in light of the 'I hate Marriott right now' thread.
And to put it into a little more perspective, the 3 options above would have cost us a lot more than our MF at MFV.
- taking our toddler on a Disney cruise
- taking our toddler to Disney
- going out to CA to visit my wife's brother
