Favorite resort around the Cancun area?

Hi all! We are long time Marriott owners and have mostly stayed within the Marriott resort systems while TS traveling. We went to Cancun a couple of years ago and had a great time staying at Westin Lagunamar 2BR. Looking to head back to the area again this year and was wondering if there are other resorts we should look into? What are your favorite resorts with at least a 2BR? Have access to II and SFX. We are a family of 4 with our kids being 8 and 12. Thank you!

We own 4 Marriot weeks--1 at Surfwatch and 3 at Aruba Ocean Club. We also own 3 weeks at the Royal Resorts in Cancun. 2 weeks at the Royal Sands and 1 at the Royal Haciendas. I love the Royal Sands. We have also stayed at the Lagunamar and IMHO it does not compare the the RS. The only problem with the RS is that if you exchange you must to AI. If you rent from an owner the AI is optional or if you want it you get the owners pricing. FYI the weeks at the Royals rent for far LESS than the Marriott weeks. If you have questions send me a PM.
