I see many posts about the Morritt's properties and which is the favorite. However, there are resorts that show up on Interval and RCI as well. I have seen a Wyndham, 7 Mile Beach Resort, etc. Just curious what people's favorite resort in the Cayman Islands is and why.

I loved Morritts. Was in the Grand Morritts in Aug 2023. Loved it so much I have it book again for Aug 2025. 2 bedroom unit was huge. Very large kitchen, with large eat in area with large table. Living room had a big sectional couch that was a fold out bed. Washing Machine/Dryer in unit. Multiple pools, lots of activities with a very involved activity staff. Felt like a true resort rather than somewhere to sleep. Negatives are the beach, very few people really went in the ocean as it is very rocky and you are located on opposite side of the island from 7 Mile Beach where is where a lot of dining/shopping was. But that didn't bother us. Had a rental car if we wanted to go there or anywhere else.

We've stayed at Morrit's Grand in 2017, 2019, and 2024. Two and one-bedroom units. Own a one-bdrm week at the Grand. Thoroughly enjoy the peace and quiet. If you are reading the Cayman Compass online you will note that 7 Mile Beach has had serious erosion problems for several years. Resort amenities literally falling into the ocean. Local government is dithering and arguing. Glad I own on the east side.

My wife and I much prefer 7 mile beach area over east end. We have enjoyed the Grand Caymanian. It is on the sound (bay) side near golf course. The rooms, pool and restaurant are good, but will need to drive or take the shuttle to 7 mile beach which is about 5 minuetes drive. It is probably the most cost effective way to enjoy 7 mile beach area. Another option is Sunshine Suites, but it is not a TS. It does get you access to all Westin amenities at a lower price than the hotel. They just completed a Reno of entire property.

It's been a while since we stayed at Morrits . What I liked about Morrits was mostly being on the quiet east end of the Island and how close to Rum Point we were. We did stay a few nights near George Town . We were younger then and this is where the parties are, so we did like that.

We vacation in Cayman every January at Coral Sands, a small timeshare resort in George Town. With only 12 units, it has more of a beach house feel, with a small plunge pool. It has an excellent management staff that has been there for years, and the units are clean and welcoming. They have beach chairs, floats, and snorkeling gear for guests to use when headed toward Cemetery or Governor’s beaches on 7 mile. We snorkel from the dock at Cheeseburger reef, and my husband walks a block to Living the Dream for his dive trips. If you like really fresh fish, the fisherman are at the town dock every morning with the days catch. It is in the heart of the town, so it will be busy, especially on days with multiple cruise ships, but the passengers are normally only on land from 9-3, then it is just “stay over” guests at the restaurants.
That being said, we love Morritt’s as well. We like to stay a second week on the island to enjoy the atmosphere of a bigger resort. That is our “party” place with the guest activities, courts, and pool bars. We usually invite another couple when we stay there.
