Maybe not on the one you want but on average, the price of flying is cheaper than in 1995. I can believe it since that has been my experience, except for redeeming frequent flyer miles.

Right now I am in Atlanta in the Delta Sky club waiting for my flight to Amsterdam for 100000K FF miles. I have a flight to Lisbon later in November for the cheapest cash Biz Class fare I have ever seen.

As the article notes, this is according to the US DOT.

Cheers

Well. I wish someone would tell SW this news! We are flying BUF-LAS next week for $278 per ticket. When SW fares came out this week for May, for the same routing, the price is over $400 per ticket!

Adjusted for inflation (which this article is based on), your ticket would be $178 in 1995. Could you really consistently fly three-quarters the way across the country for $178 in 1995???

People just want to think flying is more expensive now, but don't realize just how cheap it is.
