Farecast is a travel search engine and they attempt to predict (based on historical data) whether or not a particular fare will be going up or down.

I've not used their website enough to know if their predictions are valid. Are there any TUGGERs out there who have more insight?

I have used it and it seems pretty accurate for general trends. Actual values are always a crap shoot but you can see when there might be sales but basically, it is not a real helpful tool if one understands sales for off seasons and when peak travel seasons are like summer to Europe and winter to the South, Mexico and the Caribbean.

A better site for me is www.farecompare.com that shows actual fares although some of them are not easily booked.

Cheers
