In 2006, we stayed at Marriott's Ocean Pointe and chose to have a family portrait taken on the beach. This was an AMAZE activity. The photos are priceless. I was wondering which, if any of the other MVC resorts offered this service. Does anyone have this information?

In 2006 Waiohai offered portraits as one of their activities. We had one taken. I can't remember, but I'm pretty sure that owners got 1 5x7 free and then could order more on top of that. We explained to them that we are Marriott owners but do not own at Waiohai. They gave us the print free anyway.

They were doing free portraits at Cypress Harbour when we were there in June. We had an appointment our last day but unfortunately had to cancel.

When we were at Ko Olina, they had it as part of their MAZE activity, twice. It wasn't at the beach though. They take a picture in front of a fountain and then they can superimpose it on a few different layouts. Or you can have it plain. We didn't get a chance to do it, but it would have been nice. I would have been more motivated if it was a beach picture or even a session where a photographer could take several shots. The Ko Olina resort is so beautiful, I was surprised they didn't have an actual photographer. Horizon's Orlando has an onsite photographer who can do a photo session as well.

We were in Ocean Pointe in 2005, and scheduled a photographer via the activities center. The photographer was fantastic, and the photos were incredible. We still treasure them. I think it was a 3'rd party photographer who billed through the resort, but we still attribute the experience to "The Marriott Experience".

I didn't see any such arrangement at Manor Club.

When we were at OceanWatch this past summer, we looked for a photographer in the AMAZE area... nothing. We looked for info in the literature in the room..... nothing. After a preview, on our way out the door, in an empty hallway in the reception area, was an empty desk and a monitor advertising beach-side photographs.

It was too late for us, but OceanWatch does promote an area photographer for beach photos, but we didn't have an opportunity to try them, so I can't vouch for them. As far as being associated with the activities center, though, it doesn't appear that they are.

Same here except for us it was Cypress Harbour. We've been having family portraits taken by their privately contracted photographers for about the last 4 years. The results are outstanding. I should know -- I've bought just about all the shots that were taken, and I might add, at a very reasonable cost. The convenience alone is priceless not to mention the tropical surroundings. You just can't duplicate that in a studio. Didn't know that KoOlina offered this too -- a missed opportunity I guess. On that note, does anyone know if there is a list of Marriotts that offer this service?
