If you change your Facebook from the Page layout to Timeline, can you go back? It appears that you can't, unless you are a business or organization...but does anyone know?

Also, if someone on Timeline announces a new friend, how can you Like it? I can't find the Like button when looking at that on someone's Timeline.

What are your thoughts about Timeline? I think it's kind of cluttered, though I have gotten used to it on my kids' sites - I haven't changed mine. I've read some grumblings about how easy it is for someone to zip back to your actions of years ago.....so maybe people might want to go hide or delete old things they don't want to show anymore.

???

It's taken me a while to get used to the timeline layout of FB but now that I have I like it. It actually helps to keep my "wall" clean and uncluttered. (I don't allow a lot of other stuff on it!)

I read that FB will be going this direction in total, so it is sooner or later, everyone will be on timeline layout . . . so may as well get used to it.

We were just having this discussion at work last night about the timeline. I do not think that you can switch back once you change your profile to the timeline. I'm holding out until they make me switch. It seems too confusing. But I'm not sure that you could "like" something anyway from someone else's profile page. If it shows up in the newsfeed you could like it.

I have several friends who have upgraded. I love the big picture at the top and the look of it, but it's a pain to navigate. I never can get it to scroll right. I'm not upgrading until they make more, or until they get it working better.

Just click the like button, none of that has changed with the timeline.. It's still there, unless they have their profile privacy settings to not allow you to.

Not me, my son has it, he responded to my comment, I didn't even know that until I went to his wall or page or whatever.

You can "like" under posts, but it's not available in the "More Recent Activity" on the right that shows the latest friend add and other updates.
