Just got back from seeing Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close. All is can say is WOW. If you normally do, I suggest NOT wearing mascara to this movie, and also take lots of hankies. No one in that theater wasn't sniffling, man nor woman.

I lost 295 co-workers that day, and had nightmares for years afterwards about various aspects of that day. Some part of the movie made me very, very uncomfortable, but I'm still glad I made myself sit through it. Very moving and well done, as are most things that have Tom Hanks in them, even if only for a little while.

Thanks for posting. I have been very curious about the movie. More motivated to go see it now.

Interesting that it is ok for someone like Tom Hanks and his Hollywood cronies to make MILLIONS off this horrible tragedy by making a movie about it, but it's considered politicizing for certain people to even TALK about 9/11.

Count me as someone who won't be lining Hollywood's already deep pockets by going to see this movie. I'd rather take my money and send it to a fund set up to help those who's lives were destroyed by what happened, rather than letting another Hollywood hypocrite get richer. :annoyed:
