I'm here at Parc Soleil this week. I had an open season ressie for 3 nights and we decided we wanted to add an extra night but we decided on the last night before check out. The weather has been so great we were even able to get in the pool and usually I never get in the pool in winter in FL since I'm almost a native Floridian and we don't do winter pool.

Anyway, The resort is sold out but the manager Jeff, went out of his way to accomodate us and made sure that we had a late check out and that if someone was a "no show" that we would be the first to be accomodated. Happy to say that he made it happen for us and we were able to extend our stay by an extra night with a last minute cancellation. :cheer:

I really love Hilton. They're definitely a class act. BTW, this resort is beautiful. It's full and you can't even tell. Much better than at I-drive where I own where you come back to the resort late at night and can't find a parking spot. At least here they put in parking garages so you don't have to schlep 4 buildings away. The resort only has two towers right now but the rooms are really nice and you have everything you need already in place. I'll be coming back to Parc Soleil from now on. :D

I don't know if this is standard for Hilton since I've never done it before but they definitely treat owners nicely. I feel so special. :p

I called to add a a single day to reservation (10 days away) and they said I could only use points as open season neede 2 day minimum booking.

Pain in the ass IMO - as the extended day would have been same room size/type and now I'm hustling around trying to find a 1-nighter somewhere else. Check-in and Check-out times will make this even more annoying.

Did you try calling the Parc Soleil directly? I think it's different if you try to make a reservation before your actual stay vs. adding nights to your reservation once you get there.

I think it's great that PS management understands customer service and accommodated you. My experience with management at the Flamingo was the opposite -- they offered me an extra night at a rate only slightly less than that available to the public. And I'm an owner at the Flamingo!

This wasn't a points ressie and then adding a night, it was a full open season reservation, so I think it was easier to offer me an extension than it would have been to just rent me the one night. I've not tried to do that.

Maybe you should have just paid for a 2 night open season and had a nice very late check out. Might have been cheaper to get the 2 night open season thru the club than to rent the one night with a higher rate.
