Called to extend for a year and was told they no longer do it as rules have changed.

Anyone has a recent experience on this.

Dioxide45 gave me this advice on a Boundless free night certificate and it worked for me:
Secure a reservation that is past the expiration date, and ask them to attach the expired certificate. Good Luck!

Also, they attached the certificate when I emailed Marriott Customer Service. I did not have any luck when I called in.

I was also denied when I called it in. Even spoke to a supervisor.

I complained that devaluation has caused low availability for certs. Difficult to use. Fell on deaf ears.

Not happy with Marriott.

These rules changed a few years ago. Sometimes it will work, a lot of times it won't. As always YMMV.

Was able to attach it after 3rd call. My brother was able to attach another expiring certificate in his account from first call.

Both were attached to reservations within days from expiation date.

Thanks you all.
