I'm thinking of buying a few weeks at one of the Exploria resorts (Gatlinburg Town Square). Could anyone explain the reservation procedures for booking a float week at your home resort? Or at another Exploria managed resort? Thank you in advance.

There are a couple of options. You can book 10 months out from when you want to travel. They have phone reservations and they also have an online system. I just spoke with them last week and was able to get a reservation in Nov for this year. We have never done the online reservation form, but do see it available on the website when we log in. We have a unit that we are basically giving away listed on the marketplace. We love Gatlinburg Town Square, but do very little traveling at this point.

Thank you for the helpful information. I'm interested in your unit. Could you tell me more about it? Resort, Unit Size, Week/Points/Season/Float Weeks, maintenance fee?

We have owned at Gatlinburg Town Square since April 2004. Our family has enjoyed years of vacationing here. The location is perfect - it is very serene and overlooks a stream. We've always loved leaving the door open to hear the stream running at night. It's just a short walk to downtown and all the activities that Gatlinburg has.

2018 usage is still available, reservation has been made and you can enjoy using this unit this year. Check in is Nov 24. If you do not wish to use the unit this year, it can be deposited with Interval International for use up to 2020.

This is an annual usage unit, and is not a fixed week. As stated in our paperwork - Weeks 1 through 23 and 44 through 52 have been designated as Winter Flexible Time Use. The unit is a 2 bedroom lockout and can be split for deposit with Interval International so that you can get 2 weeks use out of your unit. We will work with LT Transfers to ensure a smooth transaction it takes about 4 weeks to complete the transfer, so don't delay if you want to use it this year. 2018 Maintenance fees are paid and unit is owned free and clear. Your total cost - $1.00!!! Our children have grown and moved to different areas of the country that don't have timeshares available for trade, so we spend our time going to visit them now and the timeshare is sitting unused.
