This is probably a dumb question, but… we had some Wyndham points we were unable to use a couple years ago because we were busy moving, so we deposited them into RCI, having never used RCI and not really knowing much, if anything, about it. We also have extended them for the extra year but we still haven’t used them and really don’t see a good way to do so. We’re Silver VIP and have some Wyndham points remaining for this year that we need to deposit into next year by the end of this month. We have some resale contracts that, in addition to our developer points, give us plenty of points for the travel we want to do.
So, with that said, is there any good, inexpensive, safe, legal way to get rid of those RCI points or is it best just to let them expire? I looked on their website and all I see is an option to transfer them to another member or “gift” them to a family member via a gift certificate that would probably cost us and the family members more than either of us would want to pay.
Am I missing any other options?
