What happens to an existing bonvoy point based reservation after Marriott hotel category change? Will Marriott honor as is it or cancel it or automatically re-book it with more points. Thanks

The hotel category changes go into effect on March 4. Reservations made before that date are at the old rates and will be honored.

One warning, if you made a reservation without enough points you will get repriced if you don’t apply them before the change
