Exchanging with into Vistana Resort

We are getting ready to exchange into Vistana Resort for this summer. There are opening in both just Vistana Resort and The Fountains Villa. I am not much interested in The Fountains since they do not offer elevators. So my question is what sections are a Sunday check in. I stayed here in 2007 in I believe the Lakes section in building 1 or 2. And even though the unit was outdated, I liked that area and wondered what are the chances of being in that area again. Are there any other areas that someone would suggest? It will be me, DH, a 5 year old and my mother.

From what I see on the map I have...The Lakes do have Sunday check ins and so does the Cascades which have elevators.

Many other sections also have Sunday check ins but not elevators.

Sections and units are not assigned until check in day. You may make a request for location/unit but as a RCI exchanger you fall behind owners at that resort and all other internal Starwood exchanges for requests.

If you have specific needs because of mobility etc. I would call the resort just under a week before arrival and talk to the front desk staff, or even the front desk manager if you can. Look in the Owner Resources sticky above for the SVR map and a check in day chart.

The good thing is that the entire resort has been renovated and is all essentially the same internally as far as condition.

One more suggestion - I'd FAX the resort as soon as you have your exchange, with your request. If someone in your party has a disability - make that very clear, and then take the FAX and any response to check-in with you, as documentation.

Then, about a week before check-in, call the resort directly and ask them if your request is in your reservation notes.
