We are taking our first trip to Cancun, Feb 4, and are staying at the Royal Mayan. I am wondering what is the best "and easiest" way to exchange money -- resort, ATM, or should we exchange at home before we go. Does anyone know what the Royals charge for an exchange fee? Flat fee or per a certain amount? Please advise a newbie!!!! Thanks, Amy

There is also a bank and an ATM across the street from the Royal Mayan to the left of the Captain's Cove, it is called Banamex.

Use the ATM's and withdraw pesos, you will get a much better exchange rate than at your resort. :)
