Hi! Other than having to check with Marriott directly, would anyone have a chart or information on purchase prices, maintenance fees, and points received if that unit is exchanged for MR points? I'm guessing that purchase price (and details associated with it - 1 or 2 bedroom, floating vs fixed, etc) would dictate the number of MR points received for the exchange (my terminology might be off - sorry!). I am seeking a TS with a low purchase price, low MF, that could possibly give me the greatest amount of MR points. Maybe I'm dreaming and maybe I'm being a bit ambitious with this request, but thought I'd give it a try...don't want to leave any stone unturned before committing to a direct or resale purchase...or none at all. See also my previous "To Buy or Not". Thanks again for all the great feedback!

Because prices & incentives are always changing there isn't a chart with this info available. However, a call to a good Marriott rep should give you the data you need to make this decision. Others have some names & numbers they could give you.

Many have suggested a Manor Club platinum purchase for the most points with a low purchase price & low MF. I don't own Manor Club, but many Tuggers who want to trade for points have found this a good option.

Yes - we bought Manor club for points - THAT SAID - and I've said this over and over - it is not a good deal. You can buy points from Marriott directly - husband and wife can buy 50K (100 total) each - nearly what you get from Manor which is 110 for 1250 per year. Maintenance is about 800 at Manor. Yes, 800 is less than 1250. But you will spend a lot buying the unit from Marriott direct, and it's getting harder and harder to USE Marriott points because airlines are becoming very stingy with their FF miles. But yes, I vote Manor is you're going to buy for points...

I've also heard Monarch in Hilton Head is good - allowing points every year.
