I'm looking for an online source that will teach basic and advanced excel - it could be two different sources.

I see some free sites but they're full of ads, any ideas?

My husband and I loved the www.ed2go.com lessons. You have 12 lessons, 2 per week with some flexibility of when to finish each one (so you can not miss your timeshare vacation). The lessons are quite thorough and show you what the screen should look like, so you rarely have a question. If you do, you just post the question and the instructor or another student answers it. Cost is moderate. If you choose a local place like a community college or high school to register through, it is even cheaper. Those choices show up online. You register, then just call the school with your charge number. They activate your account. We've done several levels of excel and word. It is also useful to learn different versions of something like word if you have to for work or a new computer at home. Keep the downloaded online lessons on your computer (sometimes you just download a form already filled in or long word document to use for that lesson), so you can go back months later after the course and repeat any section you need reinforcement on.

ed2go! I set up that program at a previous school I worked for. I'll second that one for sure. Great customer service also!

Each school sets it's own profit margin, so it pays to shop. Here's the cheapest school I know of (not where I worked). I doubt you'll find it much cheaper.

depending on what you really mean by "training" you can most likely find a ton of tutorials and how do I type stuff right on MS site.

plenty of training vendors around as well for classroom or online classes.
