Much of this is information that has been available for a long time. For example:
Since TUGGERs seem to know something about everything, I'll ask. Has anyone set up an e-Verify account? What are the pros and cons to doing this?

Much of this is information that has been available for a long time. For example:
- Check your free credit report(s) periodically
- Freeze your credit at the 3 major credit reporting agencies - been there, done that
- Set up your account on the Social Security website - in case you are unaware, the sign-in method has changed recently. I can no longer sign in directly with the ID and password I created. Now I am redirected to sign in via an external website such as ID.me
- Get an IRS protection PIN - I did that a few years ago. The IRS indicated that I would receive a new PIN via the mail each year, but often I find that I have to instead sign in to the IRS website to find/generate that PIN.
