So, I purchased airfare last October for us to go to Reno for the USBC open tournament. We participate every year. The USBC just followed suit and has canceled the tournament events scheduled through the end of April. (Our events were April 23&24) Now, I have travel insurance through our CC, but the flight isn't affected, only the event, so that won't help. At least Southwest will allow us to apply the funds toward future travel, but only up to when the ticket was purchased.

I'm amazed how fast everything is being cancelled. I contacted the USBC on Tuesday and was given the "we're monitoring the situation and following the CDC recommendations." I'm surprised that the airlines aren't being pressured to scale back and discourage people from unnecessary travel.

Now we have to find someplace to go before October 30. (I really want to visit Key West)

Yeah....for the most part, a lot of pleasure travel is being impacted. But, you got it right, time to plan for spending that money on future trips! For me, I have about $5000 in credits with Disney Cruise line and Jet Blue. Can't wait to figure out how I am going to spend it!

Have fun in your Key West search!!!!!
