Just returned from a fabulous week in Estes Park, our second time there.
We did see a small bear near the Fern Lake trail head eating berries by the road. Seems to be more bear activity than when we were there the last time as we were warned by hikers on two different trails that a bear had crossed just below where we were hiking (but we never did see any other bears).
A bear apparently broke into the office at Rams Horn mid week and we were warned to keep the lower level windows shut at night.
Some of the trails on the East side that we did the last time we were there are still closed due to damage sustained in the flood of 2013 (we were there just prior to the flood). Looks like they will soon have the foot bridge at Ouzel falls completed soon.
Can't wait to return to this beautiful part of the country!!
