I have owned at orange lake resort for 10 years. It’s part of Holiday Inn Club Vacations. It uses RCI as an exchange platform. I am a UK citizen living in the UK. If I stop paying the maintenance fees what can they legally do? Apart from threatening letters e mails phone calls etc. We are also moving home soon and I haven’t notified them of the new address. I don’t owe any mortgage fees as I paid my timeshare upfront. Can they have any legal justification in the UK or affect my credit rating in the UK?
Can anyone advise?

I think you pretty much answered your own question.

- however I am not a lawyer.

You might try offering it here https://tugbbs.com/forums/forums/free-timeshare-giveaways-and-bargain-deals.55/ Many have had success re-homing unwanted timeshares there. It probably won't happen overnight, but an attractive advert helps.

We honestly can't know how stopping payment on a US timeshare would affect your UK credit. These things are done so randomly that it's anybody's guess.

Good Luck!
