Hi All,
I have an exchange for Marriot Surfwatch 11/22-11/29/20 that we might have to cancel. I did purchase EPlus with the exchange.
My questions are:

1) If I start the Eplus now, can I book to the end of the 3 x 59 day window or do I have to book and retrade 3 times?
2) If I book a week with the intention of retrading do I keep the value of my original deposit or is it reset to the new exchanges value?
3) My deposit is in points, if the week I end up with costs less points than the original do they refund the difference to my account?

Thank you in advance for any help.

Based on my past experience, you will have to walk the reservation out several times. The deposit is supposed to retain its original quality of trading power, but of course you are now limited to flexchange and can’t do an ongoing search anyway so its Moot. My experience with points is that you will not get a refund if you use less, but of course if you need more points, they will charge you for those.

Thank you for the reply. Since I'm in quarantine til at least Tuesday I decided to call II to see what my options were. After about 30 minutes on hold a rep came on. He explained the whole retrade process for me. He then offered to help me do the retrade from his end. I gave him the areas I wanted to search and he searched thru to the end of 2021. I was able to get a week I could use, 4th of July at Villa Roma, while keeping 2 retrades. If you're in a position where you have an exchange that you want to retrade within the 60 day window I'd suggest calling II instead of the doing the Eplus online. Had I not called the latest in the year I could have searched was 5/20/21.

A question I have, are your online retrades still restricted to 59 days past your current confirmed exchange? You originally were able to do retrades out through 11/22/2021. Can you see inventory beyond 9/5/2021? I am just wondering if this phone retrade pulled your EPlus out of the flexchange restriction.

I'm not sure. I've never used the retrade option before. If I start the process can I cancel before completion? If yes, I'll try it and see what happens.

Using the EPlus Retrade button doesn't cause you to lose your confirmed trade unless you go all the way through. You would just need to input dates out through 12/31/2021 and resort/area of the search. As soon as you click Continue, if your trying to pick dates outside of the allowable date range, it will tell you the date range you must select. in order to continue. What is the last date of that date range in the yellow box? At that point, just close the browser window.

The screen shows 2 of 3 retrades left, but when I click on the button nothing happens. I'm assuming I'd have to call in to do a retrade.

You shouldn't have to call. Maybe it doesn't do anything because your first retrade went outside the window and it breaks the button.

Maybe, I’ve never used the eplus before. The screen shows 2 of 3 retrades left with an expiration of 11/22/21. But if I click on the button nothing. The rep did tell me I still had 2 retrades left.

It's an IT issue. The overrides to make a trade outside the date window shouldn't impact it at all, at least it didn't in my case. You should still be able to do a search with the eplus button. The limitation is that the original date limits are still in place and you will only be able to search within those parameters. If you find something outside of the original time limits, you will have to call in, preferably to the same person who made the original override for you.
Example: I had an April exchange that had a Sept 2020 date limit on the eplus. I moved it to an October 2020 with an override. That latter week was in Canada and when it became obvious I couldn't do that week due to COVID border issues, I had to move it again. Calling into the regular desk got me nowhere so I contacted Mark (tug II contact) who helped me move it to Oct 2021 and then to June 2021 to its final resting place (I hope). I found the alternatives by searching with another week and had to keep in mind the relative trade power of the 2 weeks. For each move, the original search limitations of Sept 2020 remained in place for the eplus. So it's a little awkward, but it works and I am very appreciative of II's flexibility in working through this changing exchange world we are now in.
