Back around 1995 I purchased a one bedroom unit at El Quijote Inn -- the unit was in foreclosure and I purchased it through a silent auction. I was the one and only bidder, and I bid the minimum. I arrived in Mazatlan and checked-in on December 31, 1995. While I found the unit and the common grounds to be disappointing, the timeshare interval provided excellent trades through Interval International.

My ownership expired in 2012, and much to my amazement I never received an invitation from El Quijote Inn to extend my membership. Were they pissed-off because I purchased a foreclosed timeshare, instead of paying top-dollar to purchase from the developer's sales team? Has anyone else had an offer to extend their membership? If so, please provide more information.
