Probably best to check Tripadvisor. The board is for timeshares.

Is it a timeshare or more of an all inclusive that sells membership? Many all inclusives available to book through Interval International are not necessarily timeshares but rather all inclusive resorts that just list inventory on II and make their revenue from the mandatory all inclusive fees.

I didn't ask. I know I got it in exchange from Intervals. That was good enough for me.
My question was do you have anything that would help me enjoy my visit?

Ventus is a very good resort. Trading through II entitles you to "Club Platinum" status which includes a separate check in area and several private lounges. II traders also get a $250 limited use resort credit (remember to ask) usable at resort shops. There is a charge of $60 per week per device for internet but II traders pay $30. Numerous ala carte restaurants with good to very good food and a Food Court with many choices for lunch.
Be sure to check out the Dolphin training school and swim with them,(for a fee) if you are so inclined. The resort offers free one way shuttle from CUN airport. A taxi or van from the resort to return to CUN can be had for Less than $50 USD.
Check out elcid.com for lots of information. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
PM me if you need more info.

Wow! Thanks so much, Super helpful.
Is it worth it to take the shuttle or a private van?

We used their free shuttle and recommend cancunshuttle.com for return. Cost me $42 USD plus tip. El cid advertises tips included with all-inclusive but be sure to bring a good supply of $1s and $5s. The hard working staff there will be very appreciative.

Going there later this year. Welcome any advice on restaurants on the property.
I've not been there since they built the newest set of buildings (so this would've been pre-COVID). Ventus had been built.

I forget the name of the restaurant, but it's the seafood/fish one by the marina area. We liked the food there.
There's an Italian (?) once that's up by the new Ventus buildings that was our favorite.
I don't think the French one was open when we were there (it was like June, so "low season")

They had 2 areas for breakfast, a smaller one by Ventus and the main one I think it was called Alihambra? Anyway, the smaller one was nicer in the sense of not a lot of people, but the food selection was a lot smaller. The main one has a very large buffet, but it's almost always very crowded. Pros and Cons to each.

I think they got rid of the Mexican restaurant as well, since with Ventus, there's that "market" place with like 8-10 different eateries (think a food court in a mall). Food was OK (not bad, not great). You will have trouble finding seating depending on when you go (one night there was a line for about 30 minutes for seating). I vaguely recall the tacos were good there. I *think* that's the only spot open for lunch though. Again, this was pre-covid and before they built the ventus 'ha buildings, so I'm not sure if things have changed.

I'd like to go back there, but only if we can be assured to be put in the new buildings, not the "old" ones (we got stuck in the "new" Marina building which is now Ventus but not the new Ventus and the walls are paper thin). Oh, and the AC was on an occupancy sensor, so if you go when it's hot, you'll have to rig up something that moves around all night, otherwise it shuts off after 15 minutes and you wake up in a pool of sweat because the room is 86 degrees.
