Are there any El Cid owners here who have a) tried to book something through RCI, and/or b) tried to call any listed 1800 number for El Cid? Because from my experience, the RCI link has been removed from the owner portal, and whenever I call any of the numbers, I get a persistent busy tone with no message. I reached out to them on Facebook and they just repeated that their working numbers were the same ones I had been trying. I'm starting to worry that maybe they don't honor their points for RCI exchanges anymore? Maybe their business is in really rough shape (I'd call that karma), but you'd think they would still have working phones. Of course, they have not answered emails.

I believe El Cid is no longer affiliated with RCI. I belong to both II and RCI and can see loads of availability using II but nothing with RCI.
I have noticed the same as well.

Somebody know if still affiliated with Wyndham?

The ElCid contracts that were also in Wyndham points were RTU with an expiration date.
(like most Mexican contracts)

@jules54 may own some that still have a couple of years left .

Yep I do still have some contracts with El Cid that are affiliated with Wyndham. Yes those contracts are still Wyndham affiliated. I have a big one expiring next year and the rest expire before 2025. The El Cid used to be dual affiliated both RCI and II. Have no idea if that’s still the case.
I’ll check it out and let you know. I’m wondering if the El Cid Vacation Club ECVC has been dropped from the Wyndham inventory. Those contracts started selling around 2005(I think) and they do not expire.

Did you get this sorted out? We used to access RCI through El Cid’s portal but now had to create a separate login (which they never told us!) So the access is now through RCI’s site directly. If you never took note of your RCI account number you’ll have to get it from El Cid or call RCI.

The Interval memberships appear to for new contracts only.

We also used to be able to book a limited number of Wyndham (formerly Fairfield) resorts with no exchange fee by calling El Cid but I think this may have come to an end?
