Just stayed at this resort for 6 nights. Had a wonderful time. I am an El Cid owner and was offered a promotion of 2 all inclusive bracelets. That was what made the decision to stay here.
I stayed at the El Cid El Moro in Mazatlan twice before and really enjoyed it. I was hoping El Cid Marina was just as good but turns out it was much better. We had access to the Platinum Club. The all inclusive the whole time was great whereas at El Moro I would just pay for a day every few days. I really liked that as it gave me the freedom to eat at places off the resort.
My question is where does El Cid Marina rank as far as Cancun/Riveria mayan resorts? I just would like a reference point for future trips to the area.
I also spend two nights afterwards at a mediocre all-inclusive Cancun Hotel and it did not compare at all. The difference between all inclusive and just the hotel stay was $15 a person per night. Not really worth it but easy to just be done with it.
