Does anyone know how to use ebay to sell a timeshare? How do I transfer the title, etc? We bought [a timeshare] last year and now I need to sell it quickly. I have it listed on a few websites but no inquiries yet. Does the Westin buy them back?
Thanks

A winning bid on ebay is only an offer to enter negotiations to purchase. It's not a binding bid with immediate payment like other auctions. That being said - timeshares go for the lowest prices on ebay - it's a great place to buy, but a poor place for a seller to get top dollar.

You use a licensed escrow/closing company.

This is a terrible time to have to sell timeshare - the economy is bad and airfare is high. You would be better off renting it to cover your maintenance fees.

Is it paid for in full?

Does the Westin buy them back?
- nope

*I see that you also asked for advice about selling this TS in July - did you see all the responses to your post? Are you trying to sell it for what you paid for it or more? Since you bought it when the economy was in better shape, you are unlikely to break even or make a profit, even though you bought resale. If you really have to sell it, you are probably going to take a loss. I think you would be better off renting it to cover the MF and maybe even a little more. If you are serious about selling it you need to check out the major TS resale websites and price your unit for less than the weeks you see listed. Good luck!

I see an Ad in on TUG for week 35 - which I think is your Ad that you posted about previously, for $15,000. However, you also previously posted that you bought this week for $9,000. I think that's why it hasn't sold....
