I got a call on my cell from an unknown number. When I answer those, if there is a pause I hang up knowing it's a robot calling.

When I answered this one, a fellow immediately asked if this was John, yes it is. He proceeded to say he's from timeshare........... and I thought, oh boy, I got tricked on this one.

He immediately gave me details of who he is and how he knows me. He handled a transaction where I bought from his company off eBay.

He said he's calling because they like to let their customers know when there are opportunities to make some money. Again I thought , oh boy, here we go.

It turns out someone wants to buy two units like the one I bought from him and give me more than I paid.

I explained that I'm not interested in selling my unit and in fact if he finds others in the price range I paid, I want at least one more.

Turned out to be a nice conversation and nice that they are trying to find units for their customers.

How much were the transfer taxes that had to be paid in advance going to be?

Nothing to be paid in advance.

This is the fellow I dealt with when buying the unit.

I did not ask the offer price because I'm not interested. He did say the transfer fees would be paid by the buyer. I paid $600 total when I made him my offer so I think if it had been a lot more than that he would have tried to tempt me with a price.

I can't imagine a reseller having a lack of inventory to sell. Do you own rare, hard to get weeks?

Its not always a hard to get week, sometimes its price. I have standing orders with several resellers for specific weeks at any price as well as any Wyndham contracts at my price.

The market is far different than it was not long ago. Most units are definitely still worthless but most tuggers that are happy with their units own units that have value.

I bought a 2br unit at Tropic Shores Resort from him. They are not necessarily rare but hard to find with the right float period. Mine is 1-5, 8-52.

When the resort would foreclose they would sell them for $5,000 and had a waiting list.

I see 1brs pop up from time to time and they are starting to sell for a few hundred.

The last one I bought was from a different eBay seller and I offered $400 and he took it.

I had someone offer me one through TUG that would have been $500 but I passed that on to a friend of mine who I sold my first 1br to at that resort.

I'm holding out for another $400 one.
