i have decided to purchase a small number of wyndham points. i won on ebay a sale of 84, 000 annual points for $510. with closing and everything it will come to 1170.00. i know its not alot of points but i am hopeing to use them for a few days in AC and a few days in orlando. home resort is cypress palms. do you think i will really be able to get 4 or 5 days in orlando in the summer? or should i plan for off season or every other year?

thanks

Hi Jeany and Welcome to Tugs!

You can do a lot of things with 84,000 pts if you look at multiple options.

Orlando is easy to exchange into in the off season - for as low as 28,000 points for a week. It is overbuilt, except for the summer and major school holidays. You would have to deposit 28,000 Wyndham points, pay an exchange fee to due an RCI exchange.

Atlantic City can also exchanged into - as there are several smaller (lesser) resorts than Skyline Towers. Have seen the Skyline Towers on the Wyndham Resorts specials offers (Wyndham online discounts) in the off season, too. Think January and mid Nov, early Dec.

The smaller the Wyndham unit, the fewer points needed. But multiple reservations will start to get you into Housekeeping Credits needing to be purchased and Reservation transaction costs. And to complete a transaction, you can rent points directly from Wyndham ($10 and $5 based on days before start of vacation). Or rent points from other owners.

Wyndham is a real nice points systems and by joining TUG (or just reading a lot on these boards), you will LEARN a lot on how to take a minimum number of points to get maximum value of vacationing.

Good Luck!
