Does anyone know if vacationsalvation and/or VCS - vacation consulting services are reputable sellers on eBay? Both appear to have good feedback but may be just starting out or haven't done many sales so wanted to check here to see if anyone has ever bought from them. Thanks!:)

I bought a small (168k EOY) contract from Vacationsalvation last spring. The transfer went through, but I had several completely unprofessional phone calls and emails from James, one of their reps.

I was frustrated around the Ebay feedback deadline, as I had multiple unanswered phone calls and emails, and wanted confirmation the deed had been submitted to the county for recording before leaving feedback. Out of frustration, I left neutral feedback, which seemed to light a fuse with James. I've never been screamed at as a customer in my life, but was on the receiving end of screaming rants from James on a few phone calls.

If your patient, and don't expect much follow-up, they will probably get the deal done, but I would not buy from them again. Ultimately, I with-drew the feedback, as I was threatened with no refund, and no contract if I did not, so I agreed to withdraw the feedback once I had confirmation the deed was submitted to the county.

Thanks for the heads up! Wonder why there is no negative feedback though?!? I didn't think that could be removed, only commented on...

eBay has some weird rules.

Nothing to do with timeshares, but several years ago I purchased an item on eBay which had not the remotest resemblance to what was advertised. I know a bit about fraud, and this thing was flat-out fraud. I complained to the seller and they agreed to cancel the sale and they quickly refunded my money.

But when I tried to leave some negative feedback warning other consumers? Nope...canceled deal, can't leave any feedback -- good or bad.

Sorry! I read your reply wrong, am now seeing that you said you retracted your negative feedback.

The problem with timeshare transfers especially from some of the bad sellers, is they drag their feet and may have good communication for the first 60 days, which is the time period that ebay allows feedback. Anything after that you can leave no feedback. Since most put the disclaimer in to expect closing to take 90-120 and it usually takes at least 61 days to realize how bad a transaction is there is almost no negative feed back. Add to the fact that the some good but most bad sellers use private auctions so won't identify what was sold, it is possible that the good feedback is from selling purses or baseball cards and shipping them out right away.

Beware of ebay seller!

I just wanted to circle back and let others know that "vacation salvation" (also known as VPM Magic) did not turn out to be a reputable seller. After months of messing with him and hearing that Wyndham was losing paperwork, I finally called Wyndham directly and they had no record of a transfer for the contract number I was given. At that point, he had been suspended from ebay for not paying his fees and was not responding to my contacts. Had to go through credit card company to get refunded and never heard anything further from him...
