I have and exchange into the the Marriott Ocean Club starting on the Saturday between Good Friday and Easter Sunday. We will be picking up our car at the airport and driving to the resort and likely stopping off at the Super Foods to stock up on a few things before we get to the villa. Has anyone been in Aruba during the Easter weekend who can tell me how "closed for the holiday" it is there at that particular time. I know the easter week is a very big deal in Mexico with many closings. I've considered going in on the Wednesday or Thursday before and staying at another resort beforehand to avoid the weekend airport crowds and be settled there before the weekend starts but that is looking to be a rather expensive plan. Wondering if that is really necessary to do that just to get past Easter Sunday.

I can't really help with what will be open and what will be closed. However, While Super Foods is good, my suggestion would be to go to Ling & Sons IGA. Sign up for their card (Your US or CAD drivers license works fine for ID) and also tell them you are a timeshare guest. IIRC, there was a 10% discount for that during our stay in June. Perhaps Super Foods does something similar. We found shopping at Ling & Sons to be a much less stressful experience. Super Foods is always packed!

We went to Aruba last August, arriving on a Thursday and departing on a Tuesday. The airport crowds were noticably smaller from the usual Saturday arrivals and departures. Especially on the return flight which always seems to me the most hectic leg of the flight.

We are returning to Aruba on Saturday March 30th which I think is the Easter weekend 2024. I am expecting the airport crowds to be enormous and will budget a lot of time, especially for the return flight process.

Can't say about Super Foods or Lings. I would not expect them to be totally closed over the entire weekend. Even so, there are smaller mom and pop grocers that may fill the gap for those few days if the larger outlets are closed.

i was there for Easter a few years ago. They celebrate all week. Certain public beaches are packed with locals camping out. Some restaurants closed or short staffed. We still had plenty to do and had a great time there. We had no problems that I recall at the airport.

So I can report that the Queen Beatrix airport (AUA) was very hectic on Saturday March 30th, as expected. Some of the beaches were full of campers, others not so much Super Foods was open yesterday Easter Sunday and today (Easter Monday) but had reduced hours. Don't know about Ling's. A few restaurants were closed yesterday, but had no problem finding a good place to eat. Royal Aruba Aloe factory & museum was open for tours today, but the factory employees were given the day off. Arubus had reduced hours of operation Easter Sunday, but was running.
