East Coast airports shut down today

I was reading that there is a hack that originated in the Netherlands that may have caused this. The cyber attack is supposedly going after St Louis now.

Im not sure I believe this but who the heck knows anymore. I just read that they are resuming operations ?

I flew from DCA to DTW this morning. We had a half-hour ground stop after pushing back from the gate, but the radar system came back up long enough for us to leave. There was a LONG list of standby pax for our flight though, which looked like it might have been from a prior cancellation.

The pilot told us that the DCA radar was down, and that we could not fly until it was back up. We were given an estimate of 30-35 minutes, and got the good word shortly before 30.

Don't know how complete that is; that's all I know.
