Earning some extra Marriot points

We have been using this a lot this holiday season. There are other sites out there that will pay you cash, but we always seem to opt for MR points.

In case everyone is not aware of this, some extra ways of earning MR points on holiday shopping.

If you need airline miles, Delta SkyMiles shopping is also running a special, that if you run their ap on your computer, you get points even if you do not use it - and more points if you do. Like a bot, it pops up every time you visit a site that would give you points. My husband usually is the master of the credit card shuffle - cash back, free stuff, points, etc. We do all our household bills, business things, etc. by credit - the complete opposite of my late parents, who were raised in the "cash always gets you the discount!" days. Those of us who are Good Little Squirrels now get all kinds of freebies, don't we? I also have Frugal Living running on my homepage - a lot of things are just WAAAY too Mother Jones back-to-the-farm for us - but I have gotten some good ideas, too. My husband says that my Eleventh Commandment is "Thou shalt NEVER pay full price!" Yup - that's my church, and I worship there often. I was raised with the Yankee saying of "Use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without." Betcha that a lot of us here - even though we are talking about luxurious vacations - think the same way.

An even easier way is to "like" Marriott International and Marriott Rewards on Facebook. They are running a Million MR Point sweepstakes through the end of the year. One can enter each one once a day and have a shot at an instant 1000 point win.

The official odds of an instant win are allegedly 1 in 30. So in five days of entering, I have won 2000 points.

So, after you Like Marriott on Facebook, how do you enter/win the points? :ponder:

Do you simply have to post a comment on Facebook and wait to see if you get points added to your account?

after you do the 'like it' then click on the 'enter now' and check the box for I agree and hit enter. It will tell you if you won or not.

Then, right below it, says two ways to win! You can enter the second time the same way with the link right below it. One is the U.S. site and one is the international site.

Hope that info. helps. Good Luck to all.
