I have an ongoing search in for DVC resorts. I was told I would only pull weeks and not Point resorts. HGVC told me I can go into RCI page thru HGVC and see DVC point resort in there are any. If I see some listed I can then call HGVC ansd ask them to book it. I can keep calling HGVC and have them search for a point resort also. Does anyone know can a HGVC owner see the DVC points resorts request online.

I don't believe you can put in an ongoing request in RCI points but I could be wrong. The inventory is now merged. You can search yourself by going in thru the HGVC/RCI portal on the club website. You don't have to call in to do an RCI exchange.

Yea I agree I can't put an ongoing search in for DVC points resorts. When I search thru HGVC to the RCI site I dont see the DVC point resorts(R*) just the weeks resorts(DV*). I am trying to figure out if HGVC actually can actually see the DVC points resorts.

The inventory is now merged so you're not going to know which is a weeks deposit and which is a points deposit since it's all comingled now. :crash:

You could compare it to your weeks account if you have access to just a pure weeks account. :)

I often open my personal RCI weeks account along with the HGVC portal account as well as opening my RCI points account and comparing inventory and deciding which is the cheapest route for any given exchange. I use Google chrome and IE to do this so it doesn't give me the same account in a different window. :)

Like the previous poster said you can't tell which is points or weeks online anymore but just do the search and book whatever pops up that matches your needs.

I just called HGVC and told them I wanted to do an ongoing RCI search for a DVC resort. They connected me to a rep, I told her what I wanted and when, paid the fee and hung up. About a week later we had a call saying a Bay Lake Tower 1BR lake view was available so we booked it for a week. They then took our points out of our account. I don't know if it was weeks or points I just let them worry about it.

Please let us all know about the Bay Lake DVC experience. We are thinking about trying to get a week there during our next DVC trip.

I just got back Saturday from our HGVC to DVC Bay Lake Towers exchange. It was awesome. We had a 2 bedroom Magic Kingdom view on the 11th floor right in the middle of the resort (room 8124). My wife said I took timesharing to whole new level. We've stayed at the parc soleil & the hgvc seaword resort in the area. The DVC Bay lake tower is well insulated from sound (inside and out). You could here your neighbor flip a light switch in parc soleil & seaworld.
