I know Marriott put an end date on resale owners joining DVC, but does anyone know if they have made exceptions or have re-opened the period?

They haven't setup a method for external resale weeks to join the DC that are post 06/20/10. However, some have reported that some of the direct resale weeks Marriott is selling now can be added to the DC with an additional purchase of 2500 points when purchasing the resale week.

They haven't, and I wouldn't expect it any time soon. I doubt they will ever allow post 6/20 weeks to enroll for the same enrollment fee they offer today.

My guess is that they will allow some type of re-qualification in the future where if you buy x,xxx DC points, you can enroll your post 6/20 week(s). I think their best move would be to say if you buy x,xxx DC points, you can convert your legacy weeks to DC trust points. This will give them added control over inventory. Not that I want them to do that, but it would make the most sense from MVCI's standpoint.

Their pitch to us in January was buy points and they will reimburse us the $695 we paid to enroll. I did not own a re-sale week at the time and do not now, but am condisering a purchase. Of course now that I have found TUG I would never buy direct. I sure wish I would have found TUG 7 years ago before my direct purchase.
