My husband and I have been researching timeshares for about a year and we are very interested in the new Disneyland Hotel Tower, which would be our first timeshare purchase. We have been able to stay at the VGC through Redweek and been impressed with the DVC experience. We stayed at the Frontier Tower last week and were able to observe the ongoing construction (see attached picture). Questions:
  1. Is there an estimated date when sales will start?
  2. Is there a wait list where folks are already in line once sales begin?
  3. Any predictions for price point?
Thank you!

1. No sales date known yet.
2. You could always contact a DVC Sales Guide at https://disneyvacationclub.disney.go.com/ or 800-500-3990 to express your interest and get on a list.
3. Yes, many predictions, mostly in the high $200s to low $300s per point.

When I first heard the announcement I was super excited- and was planning to add on there -

Curious also to the actual design/layout
Will the new tower have the features WE like or are they to be more like the new GFV - no kitchenettes

if there will be more studios for couples like at Rivera

how many units it will bring total to DLR for DVC use - competition even amongst owners at some resorts is difficult even during home resort priority- VGC are one of them -if it’s only another 55 units or so it’s still gonna require owning, walking ect

I am also intrigued by what the points chart will look like- how many points will I need…

after I started thinking about it I am definitely holding off a bit…it’s new it’s shinny but I can’t see the nuts and bolts -

DVC News has a good article about the number of villas of various sizes: https://www.dvcnews.com/resorts/oth...te-plan-reveals-details-on-new-disneyland-dvc. There will be mostly studios sleeping four as well as 38 two-person studios.

Thank you very much for the link. I had it in my mind that I might want to sell my VGC soon, fearing the price might fall with the new tower's construction, but now I'm not so sure. With all of 20 2BR Villas it's smaller for our purposes than the VGC!

I was hoping for at least more 1 bedrooms. This is also going to affect our decision, we are also a family of 5. Priced way too high for a motel room (basically). I may be just as happy staying across from the entrance……..
