Wow ! This cruise ship is one of Viking newest luxury cruise ship, just launched in 2022. Deck 2 is an ocean view cabin. The Antarctica cruises are very special, with very limited passengers, sailings dates for cruises lines and they are very expensive to sail per person.

Please take a closer look at the photo and you can see the destruction of six (6) cabins on the Port Side of deck 2 .

Tuggers this was not a pleasure cruise liked going to the Carribbean or liked sailing in the Mediterranean.

This was an adventure cruise to Antarctica starting at the tip of Argentina in South America.

Not a good record for this new ship, two men drowned on an excursion a couple weeks ago, zodiac overturned in high surf near the shore.

Those windows do not look well designed for that type of seas, porthole style would be stronger.

Interior cabins!
Interior (inside cabins ) cabins do not have ocean view glass port holes.

Please looked at the photos. These are ocean view cabins on deck 2.

I know that. Being in one would have saved her life (albeit at the expense of someone elses who took it).

Viking has had some bad juju. Viking Sky in 2019, delayed launch and subsequent issues with its Mississippi riverboat and now this.
Hoping to book a Celebrity one-way from Iceland to Boston as soon as itinerary is released. We are looking at reserving an Ocean View cabin due to the expected high pricing so hope we can snag one of the few forward on Decks 7 & 8...otherwise Deck 3 which would make me nervous after learning of this recent disaster!

Every cruise lines sailing in this region needs to be re-inspected for safety issues.

Near the sea.
We went to Antarctica in 12/19 in a 100 passenger old research vessel. Crossing the Drake was very rough. I stayed flat on the bed for 36 hours drinking Coke. My DH had three meals a day. Most of the passengers were laid low. It was calmer coming back.
