DP reservation question

I think I am going to trade one of my units for a unit at another resort that requires fewer points and get an extra night to boot. No sense in waiting to see if Interval can fill the request if I can do directly through DP. How far in advance may this be done? Do I wait until 12 months out?

If you are a Premier DC member (6,500 points) then you can book 7 or more nights stay 13 months in advance. If you are Premier Plus member (13,000 points) then you book any number of nights 13 months in advance.

Otherwise you can book 12 months in advance if booking 7 or more nights. To book less than 7 days, the soonest is 10 months (except Premire Plus).

There is a way to pay more points if you are not Premire or Premire Plus to book 13 months out, but I don't remeber how many more points it requires.

The inventory release dates aren't the same for Points and Weeks, regardless if you're using the 13- or 12-mos reservation windows. For DC Points, sign in to your my-vacationclub.com account and click on "Inventory Release Calendars" in the drop-down menu under "Plan and Book My Vacation." Then click on "Enrolled Owner" and input your desired check-in date into the calendar, the call-in dates for each window will pop up.

Like wvacations mentioned, Premier Plus (13,000+ Points) can book any number of days at the 13-mos release date; Premier (6,500-12,999 Points) can book seven days at 13-mos and less than seven at 10-mos; Owners (6,499 or fewer Points) can use the 13-mos release date for stays of seven+ days if they pay a premium of 20% additional Points or the 12-mos date for seven+ days without paying a premium or the 10-mos date for one or more days.

good evening...

Sue, I believe that Premium DC members can book less than 7 days at 10 months (not 12). Premier Plus can book 7 or less at 13 months....

B's put a nice little beat down on my Bolts...

Boy, do you know I have that wrong in all my notes? Thanks for the correction. (I changed my post and notes!) Now what about the Waitlist dates - regardless of status 7 or more nights can be waitlisted at the 12-mos date and less than 7 at the 10-mos date?

Hmmm. That doesn't seem to work for me. The calendar that pops up is totally blank, and both the calendar and the 'check-in date' field are not enterable fields.

Hmmmm. It was working yesterday for me, and I just checked and it's still working. The October calendar shows with today highlited and I'm able to click on any date in the future. (The "check-in date" isn't ever an enterable field.)

So now I know that I need to call on 1/18/36 if I want to use the 12-mos window for a 1/15/37 check-in. Have no idea how far out the calendar goes - I got bored watching it scroll all the way to February, 2077. :)

This might be the stupidest question ever, but are you enrolled in the DC? I can't think of any other reason (except for issues with your computer) for you to not have access to it.

Maybe the site was temporarily having problems, but I've also noticed the vacationclub site doesn't play well with all browsers. Are you using IE or Firefox? I know it hates Chrome.

I'm using IE 9, and I am enrolled in DC (I only have 1 Marriott week, and it's enrolled). It was the same way yesterday when I first tried it after seeing your post.
'Tis a mystery.

The calendar doesn't appear for me either in IE9.

What a pain in the neck! I knew there had been some problems with different browsers but about six weeks ago the pop-up box that warned about issues with Safari disappeared for me. Stupid to assume, I know, but I thought that meant the browser issues were corrected.

I'll be happy to check any DC call-in dates for anyone who's having a problem with this, while you pester Marriott hourly to get it fixed. :D

We use Safari too, and it works just fine for us. As a matter of fact, it worked for us long before they removed the notice about the website's compatibility problems with Safari.
