Dow futures drop 1,000 pts as oil plunges 30%

... and that is only because the futures "circuit breakers" were hit.

It has been more than 10 years since anyone has had to consider stock market "circuit breakers." The circuit breakers were hit a few times during the 2008 stock market crash. The breakers slowed the decline, but did not prevent it.

Panicky Fed rate cuts, stock market selloffs hitting "circuit breakers" -- this is 2008 all over again.

Not investment advice, but something to consider -- do not panic and sell, sell everything, calmly, if you have not already done so. Or, at least, lighten up on stock holdings substantially.

The 30 US bond is below 1% yield, the 10 year is around .41%.

That oil prices (and finally gas prices) are dropping is a long overdue reaction to how inflated they were in the first place.

I'm not sure gas prices were 'inflated' but that's a positive take on the current situation
