from the Seattle Times:

A year and 1 million passengers later, Everett’s Paine Field airport has become a hit with travelers

If you're traveling to or from the Seattle area and the other end of your flight is in the west, don't overlook Paine Field in Everett as an alternative to SeaTac, It is particular convenient if your destination is on the north side of Seattle.

We flew through Everett for the first time recently and it was a pleasure. In Bellevue we're much closer to SeaTac, so Everett usually isn't an option. And trying to get from our house to Everett in the afternoon early evening would be an absolute mess for us. But as the article notes, it's boon for people on the north side because they no longer need to fight through Seattle traffic if Paine Field provides and alternative.
