Many of my login's & passwords are stored by Chrome for easy login.
But I also have a 2 page, 2 column, list of accounts, ID's & passwords
that I keep in a safe.

I periodically test my heirs-to-be on how to access the safe...
and assure them that there are no gold bars or bearer bonds.

My 2 page, 2 column list is in my Trust book. Every 6 months I update my list and put a new one in. Mine are saved in Avast and Firefox too.

This worksheet is a great idea, but I'll never remember to update passwords when I change them. And I have no interest in using a password generator.

I guess I am the weirdo that will not be leaving passwords for anyone. They can access what they are entitled to through normal channels, but nobody is logging into anything of mine as if they are me.

That's my thoughts as well. For financial institutions, there are already procedures put in place where those who are authorized can get what they need. I don't need anyone getting into my social media accounts or really anything non-financial.

In Mac OS all your passwords are stored in the keychain. All you need is two passwords to access keychain. Windows machines probably have something similar.

I don't have any of those, they all ended at divorce. I am solo self-contained. Retirement assets have assigned beneficiaries, will covers local and internet banks.

I kinda feel that way. All my financial assets are joint ownership and/or have beneficiaries.
I have a will and health directive.

I have a letter if instruction that includes all this info. on a usb stick and my computer and on paper in our safe. A real bit%}{h to keep maintained. though. I doubt our son will even use it when we pass.

lets Just say my aunt who was lost in Alzheimers and didn’t even speak the last five years of her life was able to handle a lot of things on the computer and phone in order to pay her bills and streamline her accounts and keep a watchful eye on everything

We thought we had a good plan but this year showed us how imperfect our estate planners are. They handled my mother-in-law's estate this year and they messed up in a couple significant ways that have left my husband and I wondering if we should shop around for a new estate lawyer for our will and trust.

When my father passed away a few years ago his estate was a mess. He trusted an utterly incompetent lawyer. The entire thing was a mess that took years to straighten out. And it wasn't like there was a ton of money there either, just a big mess.
