I've been searching for a new clipper for grooming our 2 cockapoos and came across the Andis AGC 2 speed dog clipper. Before I purchase it, does anyone have any recommendations as to a good clipper. I currently have an Oster Lucky Dog, but lately it doesn't seem to cut through their hair. Thanks.

The pivot-motor & vibrator-motor (buzzer) clippers are generally no good. Cheap, but not much good for actually cutting through dog hair or cat hair or people hair.

The good clippers are powered by rotary motors. They generate more of a high-pitched whirring sound than a buzz or a hum. They work lots better than the el cheapo clippers. They also cost more than the el cheapo clippers.
