I am impressed with some of the activities our lifestyle director has come up with.

Curious what other communities might be doing.

I figured I would share some as it might be something you might be able to suggest to yours.

I signed up to participate in this.

This was done Saturday and almost everyone on my block was on their front porch.

And these were the cars that participated.

Masks by Needlecrafters. Our sewing club has made hundreds of masks for our local hospital.
Now they are offering to make one for every resident in the community for free, donations accepted which I will gladly give.

Just talking about the neighbors on Nextdoor :p

The next neighborhood over is doing scavenger hunt for kids. Items are either in windows or "hidden" in their yards. I love this idea. A family outing and it would be fun to watch from inside as a little one finds something on their list. I like happy kid banter. Sweet excited voices.

Parents are supposed to stay at a driveway until the family in front of them exits the next yard, so one family per "yard hunt" at a time.

The person whose idea it was has discreetly been collecting "prizes" from parents so every kid wins. I'm not sure how that was going to work, I think she was going to "hide" prizes in mailboxes after each family indicates how many kids they have.

So once you get your family back to your own house, one more surprise.

I thought this was a very clever idea. I remember Easter Egg hunts, but nobody has eggs to waste on that this year! I hope the weather complies and everyone gets home with happy tired kids, and a completely different way to spend the holiday. I also appreciate that the entire neighborhood is participating. It wouldn't surprise me to see retired couples out there scavenging also!

Not all snowbirds have come back here yet. Not sure if all of them even will with this virus going on. Most are in Florida I assume.

I think there is a person who kind of organizes things in season but not sure. Some of the residents here just get together and organize things on their own. Right now all that is going on is a daily 10:30 am walk.

I posted something similar to this on our Facebook page but didn't get any reactions, so I guess that is out. LOL! Maybe it was the rap music.:ROFLMAO:

My community just set up real time online yoga classes twice a week with our onsite yoga instructor.

I am not normally a yoga person but decided to do it. It was thoroughly enjoyable. I guess my perception of yoga has changed because it is the only game in town. It was great to see other people in the community.
