I’m considering purchasing a small Whyndham account, but only if there is bonus time. Does Whyndham have bonus time?
Andy.

Not in the way WM does. You can rent up to what you own per year for $12/K for booking 3 months or less from checking. I think is the going rate, but it might have gone up. I have never used it, so I don't pay attention to it.

@Sandy VDH is correct, it's still $12 per thousand to rent points. You can rent up to however many points you own within the 3 month Express Reservation window. In the 3-10 month Standard Reservation window you can only rent enough points to complete a portion of the last night's stay.

$12 per thousand not a bargin at double the cost of maintenancefees. I would not say it's bonus time comparable. Bonus time is usually less then maintenance fees and without a hk fee. Wyndham would rather rent on EH then pass along savings to owners. Worldmark is a better system if you're looking for value.

In the past Wyndham had some discounted point requirements at select resorts for select dates. It seems the last of those promotions expired in January and we haven't seen anything since.

I had a trip booked, and it went on sale with a 30% discount of points. No availability was available for dates I needed so book and cancel existing reservation was not a option. I Called in and asked if they would refund the points being offered at a discount. After talking to several reps and multiple phone calls they were able to refund over 40k points. The best part was it was late October and customer service representative asked if I would like them to be next use year points. Sometimes being persistent you get lucky and the right person answers.

There are some really helpful people who answer the phones at Wyndham. They have the ability to bend the rules a bit. I have had great luck in recent weeks with our current difficulties in logging into our account. It's been very encouraging.

How are you doing winding down the ownership?
