Hi,
To make a long story short.....LIES, LIES, LIES, LIES and MORE LIES!!!
UVC totally lied to us about the package we were buying and to top it all off, they sat down and pretended to pray in front of us and thanked God etc. I soon found out they lied about the details but it was too late and the 5-day rescission period had passed.
I refused to give them any more money and have asked AMEX for a refund. I tried cancelling but the best they would do was offer me a reduced package, so I would owe them less money. I chose to give them nothing and see what happens.
UVC now says they're sending me to Collections (it's been several months and I've never made another payment). Are there any Canadians or Americans who have just stopped paying UVC? If so, what do they do about it. I've read comments in other threads and a couple people said they don't pursue you legally in other countries. I haven't read of anyone having to go to court. I'm concerned about my credit score and possibly hiring a lawyer if I have to go to court to defend myself.
Thanks for your help!
