The ad says that if you purchase a week from this British company for about $2,000. they will convert it into RCI Points PLUS they will also convert any other weeks you own at Points resorts, without any additional costs. This might be a good way for people who own low value fixed or floating weeks to get rid of them by converting them into RCI Points. Of course I'm not thrilled about any scheme that pours more junk into the RCI Points program, but still......

They make no mention that I can see as to what resort you are buying into??? that's a concern! plus I'm not sure their claims of being able to convert other resorts units into points is correct? I own weeks at a resort that is in the points system as well. they would love me to convert to a points ownership, BUT... they want big bucks to convert it. I doubt they would let some outside agency do it for free? RT

The rules are somewhat different for RCI Points in Europe; perhaps converting other weeks would be allowed if your RCI Points account were based in Europe (which would probably require your mailing address to be in Europe, not the US.)

Even in the US, any authorized RCI Points broker can convert a week at any RCI Points resort, but only if the resort management agrees to allow the outside broker to do the conversion.

While this maybe true, most resorts will not allow a third party, not associated with the resort, to convert weeks to points.

What the ad may be suggesting is that they will let you convert weeks to points via PFD (points for deposit) which most all resorts allow.

This is what I got as an reply on my question if they can convert one of my TS:

Hi

Thank you for your questions. Unfortunately American timeshares cannot be converted into RCI points via RCI in Europe and therefore we woudl not be able to convert these for you. I am sorry if this causes any disappointment.

Kind regards
