Curious what you can do with 3500 points. Other than the published point chart, do you get anything else, like discounted last minute redemption, free but good ACs or other benefits?

BTW, it’s free from eBay other than the $10,500 club enrollment fee but also curious the chance of passing ROFR. Is it 50/50 or like 1 in 1000.

There is "Escapes" which offers discounted reservations on the resorts and sizes that are listed each week. You see that in the MVC login. It is unlikely to pass ROFR under about $4 a point.

Thanks for the insight. Is “Escapes” a big thing? I mean is it more available than you see with ACs or getaways within II. And how discounted are they typically?

Escapes is not a big thing, usually there are about 5 MVC resorts available with various sizes - open for the next 60 days of stay. I have never booked any of it. 30% off or there of. II getaways are much better. I find ACs useless for me. Note that MVC Escapes is totally separate from II's inventory.

People have also reported about Escapes inventory. Even though the dates are available, Escapes inventory may be limited and you cannot use Escapes discount to book even though you see the inventory. I don't know.

Yeah a bit hard to justify spending 20k+ for 3500 points. It’s barely enough for a premium week in Hawaii. The money is enough to buy a premium deeded week in Hawaii and for 2-bed easily splits and trades into two weeks. Perhaps MF is slightly better than Hawaii week, but likely harder to book the best week than a deeded week.

Certainly when paying full price from the developer. Resale is a better proposition. Buying a deeded lockoff week to exchange is the best value.
