Does Marriott take deedbacks on all its (U.S.) properties?

It's too bad you had to go through that hassle, but if they made it too easy then everyone would be turning in their weeks all at once. They want the owners to sweat it out and maybe the owners won't bother to do so (and hence keep their weeks).
You're probably right. But the story they've been telling Brian since last summer (see the deedback thread on the Vistana forum) is that they were saying 'yes' to any deedback request for US-based Vistana properties. That clearly hasn't been the case.
Incidentally, the experience wasn't that much of a hassle for me; but I felt bad for the person who wanted my ownership.
