Does Marriott limit owners benefits if the deeded club points are purchased in a resale ?

If I consider buying from a reseller rather than from Marriott the Club Points I need to become Executive Level will Marriott hold back benefits?

If I consider buying from a reseller rather than from Marriott the Club Points I need to become Executive Level will Marriott hold back benefits?
As noted by @VacationForever as long as you pay MVC their fee the points are used just like those bought directly from them. Executive level is the sweet spot in the system as it gives you more flexibility with reservations less than 7 nights.

You will have to explain to me how these points work to your advantage sometime. Too bad you no longer live in our son's neighborhood. :)
